Shelly Jyoti after completing her post graduation in English Literature went on further to train herself as a fashion designer from NIFT New Delhi, India premier fashion school, is affiliated to FIT New York.

After winning the best designers award from the institute, she soon launched her label in the domestic market and started retailing from India's premier fashion stores in Delhi, Bombay and Baroda.

 
 
She is invited as a jury and also coordinate workshops for fashion institutes.
Presently, she is residing in Vadodara in Gujarat and works as a fashion consultant and a practicing artist.
Painting has been a passion with her since her childhood .She started to exhibit her works from 1999. she has had several solo shows and group shows in India and abroad. Her works are in collection with private and corporate houses.
She paints in variety of mediums, oils, acrylic, charcoals, pastels, clay, and varnishes with textured techniques.
She writes poetry in English which get published in journals. some of her poetries and paintings have been also published by Sahitya akademi in their indian literature compilataion section.
In short she is an artist, a poet and a fashion designer.
